Creativity is alive and well at Hendrix! We are thrilled to celebrate 4th-grade teacher Tiffany Coleman, whose lifelong dream of becoming a published author is coming true with her picture book, Magical Mistakes.

Published by Little Dreamer Press and illustrated by Zoe Hilger, Magical Mistakes grew from an idea that began in Tiffany’s own classroom. The story celebrates perseverance, creativity, and the idea that mistakes can become something magical.

For Tiffany, this moment is a natural extension of the work she has been doing with children for years. She has long centered her teaching around a love of books and a desire to help students develop their own identities as readers. Her approach to literacy has emphasized reading aloud, talking about books, matching books to children’s interests, and using stories to help students better understand themselves, others, and the world around them.

Now, Tiffany gets to add her own story to the shelves. What a powerful example for our students: the ideas that begin in a classroom can grow, change, and become something worth sharing with the world. Congratulations, Tiffany, on turning a classroom dream into a published book!
