HOPE Squad is a national organization that empowers the natural helpers in a school to help others through peer-to-peer interactions. Part of their mission is to create a safe school environment, promote connectedness, and encourage mental wellness. Fifth grade students are nominated by their peers as classmates that they trust and would feel comfortable talking to when they are struggling or need encouragement in some way. HOPE Squad members also participate in service-projects throughout the year to spread kindness.
