Through education and service, we strive to connect people near and far, creating meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
A Look Around Hendrix Elementary School
As an S.C. Transform School, our dedicated educators are enhancing technology integration and real-world learning experiences to equip students with the skills needed to be collaborative, creative, critical thinkers, and strong communicators. Our faculty delivers differentiated, student-centered instruction aligned with state standards within an IB framework, empowering students to become compassionate, lifelong learners and responsible global citizens who take action in their communities.

At Hendrix, we are dedicated to building both local and global partnerships that create lasting impact—shaping perspectives, fostering empowerment, and enriching learning through research, service, and academic programming. By collaborating with faith-based organizations, businesses, schools, agencies, and higher education institutions, we expand inquiry-based educational practices, promote global perspectives, and strengthen our community connections.

Through our 1:1 EXCEL initiative, we harness technology to bridge global distances, broadening students' understanding of diverse societies and cultures while nurturing international-mindedness and global awareness. At Hendrix, the integration of the IB philosophy, the Arts in Basic Curriculum (ABC) model, and cutting-edge technology allows students to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning that supports both individual expression and global competency.

This year, families engaged in Workshops, Parent Education Nights, and signature school events such as our Fine Arts musical (Nemo) and dance productions, grade-level art shows, the Cherry Blossom Festival, Student Fun Run, Family Fiesta, Dance Competitions across the State and our IB Exhibition! We also celebrated the joy of storytelling and student voice through our Peter H. Reynolds Create Bravely Night , where students explored creativity, perseverance, and self-expression through his inspiring books. Additionally, our Popcorn & Publishing Party, part of the D2 Writes initiative, provided a platform for students to share their writing and celebrate their growth as authors in an engaging and supportive environment.

These events, strengthened by our valued partnerships, have deepened our focus on communication, collaboration, and critical thinking while celebrating the arts and inquiry as essential parts of student learning.
Hendrix Elementary IB World School remains at the forefront of student leadership and academic excellence by uniting IB principles, arts integration, and community engagement to create a dynamic and transformative learning experience. On behalf of our entire Hendrix family, we extend our gratitude to our parents and community for their unwavering support. Together, through the IB framework, the Arts in Basic Curriculum, and initiatives like D2 Writes, we are shaping future leaders who are innovative, compassionate, and globally minded.
